Nancy Bertuccelli, Owner
Nancy and her husband have been part of the Tuolumne County community since 1995. They moved from the Bay Area and began living in Sonora full time in 2000. Nancy began her hobby-career in quilting from a small quilt studio on her property. In 2006, she expanded Bearly Quilting into a large retail store front finally fulfilling a lifelong dream. Nancy has been active in the local quilt guild for several years and was the chairperson for the Sierra Quilt Guild Quilt Show in 2005 and 2006. When Nancy isn’t quilting, running the quilt store, or sleeping, she loves to travel, spend time with her husband, kids, grandkids, and her puppy (GiGi)….not necessarily in that order.

Kandas Wright, Office Manager
Kandas has been quilting for over 7 years now and describes it as her passion. She worked retail for 2½ years before joining Bearly Quilting. Kandas is our Office Manager in charge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, shipping & receiving, and inventory control.. When not working, she tends to her two children. Kandas also spends her time
doing other types of sewing and working with a local childrens musical theatric group. |

Ruth McCord
Ruth is a retired 2nd & 3rd grade teacher who has recently returned to Tuolumne County after spending 18 years in Lodi, California. Ruth has been quilting for approximately 13 years and says she loves her job at Bearly Quilting. When not working or quilting, Ruth enjoys reading, cooking, camping, kayaking, and gardening. She also spends lots of time with her grandkids. |

Tara Collier
Tara is a local grown girl who recently graduated from Sonora High School and is now attending Columbia College, Although she has been sewing for some time, Tara was introduced to quilting after getting hired at Bearly Quilting, and she says,”…now I’m hooked”. Despite her age, Tara has become quite an accomplished quilter! When not working, going to school or quilting, Tara enjoys swimming, horseback riding, and reading. Long term, Tara plans on becoming a scientist. |

Rosie McCarthy
Rosie is a retired elementary school teacher from Vacaville. She and her husband moved to
Tuolumne County about 8 years ago. Rosie was
introduced to quilting by a friend and has been actively quilting now for about 7years. She started at Bearly Quilting as a volunteer, but now works part time at the store. When not quilting, Rosie loves to travel, work in the garden, and spend time with her family.

Barbara Young 
Barbara retired from Chevron about 3 years ago, then moved to Sonora with her husband. She
has been quilting for about 8 years now and also has a background in various needlework and craft projects. When not working at the shop or
quilting, Barbara likes to spend time with her two Beagles, "Barney" and "Pudge". She also enjoys cooking, gardening, and riding with her husband
on their motorcycle.

Cheryl Gulh 
Cheryl has lived in the Sonora area since 1965 and
is a former instructional aide for the school district. Cheryl said she has been sewing since she was 8 years old and quilting for the last 10 years or so. In that time, she has become a very accomplished quilter. When not working at the shop, Cheryl enjoys painting, creating murals, camping, reading, and spending time with her grandkids. Please welcome Cheryl the next time your in the shop.
