Bearly Quilting is the newest and largest full-service quilt store and sewing center located in the Sierra foothills in the beautiful California gold country. We are very proud of our recently remodeled shop which is located in the Junction Shopping Center in east Sonora. As our name suggests, our entire store is focused around a bear theme. Our store mascot, “Sewphia”, greets all of our customers as they enter. We have a 6200 square foot facility with over 600 sq. feet of dedicated classroom space that holds 12-24 students comfortably. The classroom is heavily used for classes and meetings which are conducted throughout the entire week.
We stock approximately 5,000 bolts of high-end fabric from all the major mills including a wide variety of cottons, flannels, fleece, batiks, blenders, reproductions, panels, and seasonal fabrics. We also maintain a large selection of notions, books, patterns, kits, threads, unique giftware, and finished quilts for sale. If we don't have it, we'll get it!
Bearly Quilting carries a full line of Baby Lock sewing, embroidery, quilting machines, sergers, and accessories as well as Koala sewing studios and suites.
We pride ourselves in offering the largest selection of merchandise at competitive prices with the highest level of customer service possible. At Bearly Quilting we believe in our slogan, “fabric, friends, fun”. We encourage you and all of your quilting buddies to stop by the shop to see and experience our store, inventory, prices, and superior customer service.
Happy Quilting from the Bearly Quilting Family

Bearly Quilting is teaming up with American Patchwork & Quilting in challenging all quilters nationwide to help donate 1 million pillowcases to help those in need. Locally, we will be donating these pillowcases to the Women's Cancer Center in Sonora, Foster Children of California in Angels Camp, and the Women's Crisis Center (Formally the Battered Women's Network) of Tuolumne County. We will also send pillowcases to our troops currently serving
in Iraq and Afghanistan...God bless them!

We would like for all of you to help us with
this challenge! We've made up pillowcase
kits to inspire you and we have patterns
available at the store...or you can use your
own fabric and designs. You will need to
use good quality, pre-washed fabric. The
pillowcases will be a standard size case.
You choose the theme, style, and colors for the pillowcases you make, and we'll make
sure it gets delivered to the appropriate organization.
This will be a year-long program with fun events happening throughout the year at the store. To help keep you encouraged, we will keep a meter posted in the shop to show how many pillowcases we have made to date. We will also display your pillowcases (and post your name on it if you choose) on our showroom floor for all to see. Let's show everyone that Quilters Care!
...and as an added incentive, we will hold our own in-store raffle for those who contribute to this great program. A special drawing will be held at the end of each month with the winner receiving a $20 gift certificate good for any in-store purchase at Bearly Quilting. You get 1 ticket for each pillowcase donated...sew the more your donate, the better your chances are at winning!
