Stitchin with the Staff...

We all have projects to finish, so why not bring them in

and sew with friends?  We’ll hold the classes on each Monday from 10am to whenever!  No cost.  Call the shop

to reserve a space. 

Machine Embroidery Club...with Jan Ramsey

New class, new instructor.  Come and meet

Jan Ramsey, an embroiderer extrodinaire, who

will introduce you to many different techniques 

for completing projects using your own machine. 
The first class in February is intended to "meet
and greet" Jan and decide where the class will
go.  The first "working" class will start in March
and will be held once a month thereafter.  Sew
bring in your embroidery machine and let the
fun begin!  

Introductory Class:  Saturday, February 11th from 2-4pm    FREE!  

First Class:  Saturday, March 31st from 10-4pm    Cost:  $25   

Block-of-the-Month Clubs

Quilt in a Day – "Quilt Blocks on American Barns" BOM

        ...Starting January 14th!

  This is a 12-month program.  In this BOM you will

  be able to do something unique and different this

  coming year!  For years people have asked, can

  I use a different color? ...or they like to BOM but

  didn’t like the colors. Well here’s your chance to

  try this one out!  This BOM will be different than

  no other.  You purchase the book and the rulers

  necessary and YOU pick out the colors of your

  choice!  Most of the quilt is done with Fat

  Quarters. I will teach you the cool methods that

  Eleanor Burns brings out in this book. Some are

  a little tricky but once you’ve done them, you will

  want to make a complete quilt using that one

  block. So many great ideas in just one book -

  Eleanor does it again!  Signups are being taking

  now.  Classes will be held on the 2nd Saturday

  of the month from 10:30-12:30 pm starting in

  January.

                                                              Cost:  $10.95 per month plus supplies.

"Little Red Barns" BOM   

     ...Starting Feburary 18th!

From the Quilt Company, this is a 6-month

program. These barns have Country Charm! 

Each barn in the new 6-pattern BOM has its

own personality...”Animal Junction” has

piggy-backed animals in the door, “The

Country Spool” has a quilt on the side of the

barn, “Lucky’s Barn” has a horseshoe button

displayed over Lucky the Horse, and “Liberty

Farm” has fireworks for sale!  So much more…

Signups are being taking now.  Classes will

be held on the 3rd Saturday of the month

from 10:30-1:30pm starting in February.

Two new Block-of-the-Months just for animal lovers...

"Muchas Poochas" BOM

   Dog-lovers beware! This playful design, by

   Karen Brow of Java House Quilts, features

   man's best friend at their best. Super cute,

   and just begging for your love, these applique

   pups never have to be fed, or walked. Rich

   batiks (except for the inner border) give the

   quilt a warm, cuddly feel, and the 9" finished

   blocks are finished with a leash border,

   bringing it all together in a wonderful,

   48" x 60" quilt.

   During this 9-month block-of-the-month

   program, you will receive the patterns

   (including full-sized applique designs) and

   fabrics needed to complete the quilt top,

   including the borders and binding.

"Ballerina Kitties" BOM              

This quilt is perfect for any little girl who

loves kitties!  This whimsical design by

Amy Bradley Designs features dancing

ballerina kitties in a variety of poses. 

These applique kitties can be machine

or hand appliqued.  The quilt also includes

letters to customize a name on the quilt.

Finished size is 60" x 93".  

Each month during this 6-month

block-of-the-month program, you will receive

the pattern, enough fabric to complete the

block and finishing instructions on the final

month to complete the quilt. Backing fabric

is separate.

Beginning Quilting 101:

This is a 5-week course designed for the

beginning or inexperienced quilter.  Learn

the basics of quilting...from using the

proper tools and supplies to picking the

right styles, colors, and types of fabric.

Classes will be held each Saturday

"Sew What":  ...with the Bearly Quilting Staff

9-Patch Pizzaz:  ...with the Bearly Quilting Staff

  A beginner quilt without that beginner look! 

  It's been called the "potato chip quilt"...nobody

  can make just one! Use your favorite fabrics,

  including large scale, novelty or panels. 

  Combine a focus fabric with a few easy

  nine-patch blocks and you have a quilt ranging

  from sassy to sophisticated.

Baby Dumbo:

             ...with Wina Helm   

If you like to applique or want to try a new

technique then this is the class for you. 

Wina will teach you her fun way of using

light weight interfacing to "turn" any

applique around.

Class:  Friday, February 24th from 10-4pm   

BQ3: ...with Debbi Nisser

  Set off a special fabric with a slightly angled

  segment for more big quilt fun.  18" or 9"

  blocks and 6 quilts from wall to crib to queen. 

  In this class you will be making a wall size

  quilt with Debbi that will sure to inspire you to

  make more.

  Cost: $30 (incl. pattern)

  Class:  Sat, Feb. 25th from 10-4:30pm

Beginning Quilting - Sampler Quilt:   

        ...with the Bearly Quilting Staff

This is a 5-week class for beginners or

"not-so-beginner". In this class you will be

making a sampler quilt containing six blocks,

sashings, corner stones, borders, and binding. 

Classes will be held on 5 consecutive

Thursday afternoons according to the below

schedule. If you've already graduated from

"Beginning Quilting 101", this will be a

great refresher.  Come join us for the fun!

Cost:       $45 plus supplies

Classes:  Thursdays, March 1st, 8th, 15th,

               22nd & 29th from 2-4:30pm  

HandiQuilter "Pro-Stitcher": ...with Larry 

  Gain the confidence of using the

  "Pro-Stitcher" to its full advantage!  

  This is an individual, one-on-one,

  class where you will learn to master

  the basic functions of the "Pro-Stitcher". 

  Learn how to select, download, and

  import patterns; resize, rotate, mirror,

  crop, and repeat patterns; master

  edge-to-edge and border-to-border

  quilting...and much, much more.  You

  will leave with a finished quilt sampler

  incorporating a variety of quilting motifs

  that you can copy and use on your

  other quilting projects.  This class is

  conducted at Bearly Quilting with all

  materials supplied...just bring your

  "Pro-Stitcher" owner's manual and a

  notebook for taking notes.

  Classes are held from 10am - 5pm and

  can be tailored to meet your individual

                                                                     needs and level of experience.  Contact

Bearly Quilting’s Class Policy

You may register for classes at the shop or by phone.  Class reservations will only be confirmed when accompanied with full payment.  A supply list will be issued as soon as possible prior to the class beginning.  A 10% discount is offered on all supply list items with your paid enrollment. Refunds and/or store credits will gladly be given if you notify us of your need to cancel a class at least (7) days prior to the scheduled class date.  No refunds or credits will be given if the 7-day notice requirement is not met.  We stand by this policy to assure our teachers that the minimum enrollment has been met, and to guarantee those taking the class that it will be a “go”.  If Bearly Quilting cancels a class, a full refund will be given.
